Announcing Our New Executive Director!

Dear Friends of First Fruits Farm,

With great gratitude, faith and confidence, I’m excited to share that Jordan Martin will be stepping into the role of Executive Director at First Fruits Farm on March 16. 

 

After a national search that included more than 50 candidates, Jordan clearly emerged as the person God was calling to lead this ministry into its next season. He brings a unique combination of experience in agricultural sales, farming, ministry leadership, and a deep understanding of First Fruits Farm, having faithfully served on our Board for the past five years. 

 

Most importantly, Jordan loves the Lord, believes deeply in this mission, and understands that everything we do flows from God’s provision and grace. 

 

As we look toward this transition, I’m also deeply humbled by the growth God has allowed since our earliest days. What began in my backyard and a simple hope to share food with neighbors in need has grown into a ministry that now farms over 280 acres, partners with 380 organizations across the region, and has been blessed to donate more than 38 million pounds of fresh produce to families, shelters, food banks, churches, and communities since 2004. Each acre, each pound, and each partnership is a testament to God’s faithfulness and to the generosity of so many who believe in this mission. 

 

As I retire from my role as Executive Director, I’m grateful to share that I’ll remain closely involved—serving as a mentor to Jordan and continuing as Chair of the Board. And yes, I’m hopeful that this next season still includes getting to drive a tractor on occasion! 

 

Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and trust. Please join me in praying for Jordan as he steps into this calling next month, and in thanking God for His faithfulness to First Fruits Farm—yesterday, today, and in the seasons ahead.
